Campaign Update

Week 1 Update

Dear community,

In the first week of our crowdfunding campaign we hit 20% of our goal! While that is a big step in the right direction, we still have a long way to go and we need your help!

In the past week, our work has been featured in Berkeleyside and East Bay Express. We especially encourage you to read the Berkeleyside article which intimately shares the background of one of our employees and how far he has come! Check out our campaign page for community testimonials and more information about our process and impact. Please take some time out of your day to visit our campaign page and learn more about us. If our work resonates with you, please share our campaign with your friends and family.

Since our launch, several food-world celebrities speak out on our behalf: check out the calls to action from Robert Egger, Chef Tu David Phu, and Rob Greenfield on our blog.

Please note that we have introduced tiered pricing for our holiday party to keep our event accessible and inclusive of all in our community. If you felt that you couldn’t afford a ticket before, we invite you to take another look! The ticket price will include live music, a delicious meal made by Food Shift, and abundant drinks. Join us!

This ticket grants you access to Food Shift’s holiday party on December 14th in Berkeley with special guest Robert Egger. Celebration includes: DJ, band, food, drinks, silent auction, and a chance to meet the team, apprentices, and new Executive Director.

To contribute a different amount, view the different tiers of Holiday tickets offered.
